Our expertise ranges from frontier exploration and evaluation through to reservoir characterization of more mature fields, and it includes prospect highgrading and risk analysis, evaluation, seismic interpretation, log analysis, data integration, computer mapping, sedimentology, volumetrics, deterministic/probabilistic modelling and risk analysis.
Reservoir characteristics have to be tied down as far as possible and the likelihood of economically exploitable reserves assessed with a high degree of confidence. GCA focuses frontier petrophysics on the optimisation of field predictions of porosity, permeability and hydrocarbon saturation in the absence of the usual controls on log interpretation.
Our geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists are internationally experienced in both exploration and development projects. They apply state-of-the-art technology within integrated teams that also includes engineers and economists where appropriate, seeking solutions that are not only technically sound but also practical and cost-effective.
The combination of a practical, cost and timing sensitive approach to exploration at the front end in maturing opportunities, including operational and programming, has provided a strong resource for many of our clients.
